On December 3-4, 2015 VI International Congress of the Association of Sociologists of Turkic World "History, Society & Values Turkic-Speaking Countries" took place in Turkey, Istanbul (Arel University).
At the Congress was attended by prominent public figures and scientists of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
The aim of the Congress was the further cooperation of sociologists for the exchange of experience and knowledge of actual problems in the field of sociology.
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the VI International Congress of the Association of Sociologists of Turkic World Dr. Zeynep Karahan Uslu made a welcoming speech, marking the priority directions of sociology in the modern world. Vice-President of the Association of Sociologists of Kazakhstan, corresponding member of National Academy of Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor Seidumanov Serik Turarovich made a welcoming speech on behalf of Kazakhstan sociologists.

Zarema K. Shaukenova, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor, Assel K. Nazarbetova, PhD-student “One media space - the key to strengthening the values of Turkic-speaking countries”.
Aigul T. Zabirova, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor “Religion in Turkish speaking countries: between beliefs and customs”.
Sholpan Ye. Dzhamanbalayeva, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Professor “Social responsibility of modern universities”.
Sergey A. Konovalov, Doctor of Sociological Sciences, Associated Professor “Discourse on the Welfare State: the agenda for the Turkish sociology”.
PhD-students Nikara Biyekenova and Assem Kokusheva presented report in one of the sections “The values of modern Kazakhstan youth: problems and prospects’. Abstracts were published in the Congress program.
Summarizing the results of the Congress, it was decided to hold the next Congress in Azerbaijan (2016) and Kazakhstan (2017). Vice-President of Kazakhstan Association of Sociologists S. Seidumanov made a proposal on the establishment of the Turkic Sociological Association (TurkSA).
Participants were given certificates at the end of two days of the VI International Congress of the Association of Sociologists of the Turkic world.
